Access to safe drinking water, proper sanitation, and hygiene is a basic right of every child. Yet many schools in Nepal still struggle with unsafe water, poor sanitation facilities, and limited hygiene awareness. These challenges directly affect children’s health, dignity, attendance, and learning outcomes — especially for girls.
WASH in Schools Nepal is a community-focused initiative dedicated to creating clean, safe, and child-friendly learning environments through sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions.
Our Mission
To improve the health, education, and dignity of children by ensuring access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities in schools across Nepal.
What We Do
Safe Drinking Water
We support schools with sustainable drinking water systems, filtration solutions, and water storage facilities to ensure children have access to clean and safe water every day.
Improved Sanitation
We help build and renovate child-friendly and gender-sensitive toilets that promote dignity, safety, and cleanliness for all students.
Handwashing & Hygiene Promotion
Through awareness campaigns, school programs, and hygiene education, we encourage healthy habits that reduce disease and improve student wellbeing.
Menstrual Hygiene Management
We advocate for dignity and inclusion by supporting girls with menstrual hygiene awareness, girls-friendly sanitation facilities, and safe disposal systems.
Community & School Engagement
We work closely with schools, parents, teachers, local governments, and communities to create sustainable and locally owned WASH solutions.
